New Delhi: Activist Sonam Wangchuk has appealed to protesters to maintain peace, claiming that “antisocial elements” are attempting to provoke violence during the ongoing NEET protest.
Wangchuk, who is on the 26th day of his hunger strike, emphasized that the movement should remain peaceful and urged demonstrators to respond with “only flowers, not violence.”
He also met Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing protest and students’ concerns. Despite the meeting, Wangchuk said he will continue his fast until key demands, including protection for peaceful protesters, are addressed.
The protest continues to focus on examination reforms, transparency, and justice for students affected by the alleged NEET paper leak.
